  1. ZX coupler
    • ZX coupler

    • Trapezoidal flanged nut

    • M3x 12 bolt (2)

    • M3 serrated washer (2)

    • M3 hex key

  2. Align the holes in the flange of the nut with the bolt holes in the ZX coupler. Align the holes in the flange of the nut with the bolt holes in the ZX coupler.
    • Align the holes in the flange of the nut with the bolt holes in the ZX coupler.

  3. Place the washers on the bolts. Use the M3 hex key to screw in the bolts. Use the M3 hex key to screw in the bolts.
    • Place the washers on the bolts.

    • Use the M3 hex key to screw in the bolts.

  4. Place the ZX coupler on the Z axis leadscrew. Screw the coupler down until it's near the bottom.
    • Place the ZX coupler on the Z axis leadscrew.

    • Screw the coupler down until it's near the bottom.

  5. M3x45 socket screws (2)
    • M3x45 socket screws (2)

    • M3 serrated washers (2)

    • M3 hex key

  6. Put the serrated washers onto the bolts.
    • Put the serrated washers onto the bolts.

    • Thread the bolts into the top two holes on the X motor. Leave the bolts loose at this stage.

  7. Loosen the bolts holding the Z motor.
    • Loosen the bolts holding the Z motor.

    • This lets all the parts self align.

  8. Use the M3 hex key to tighten the ZX coupler to the X motor.
    • Use the M3 hex key to tighten the ZX coupler to the X motor.

    • Leave the bolts holding the Z motor to the Bottom loose - we'll tighten these later as a part of self-alignment procedure.
