Trouble Printing from Tinkercad

HI! I’m a high school librarian and trying to get 3D printing implemented into the library. I’m very new to 3D printing and learning as I go. I created a small project in tinkercad. It stopped in the middle of printing it the first time I tried. I got a Heater Runaway Printing Halted Reset message. The second time I tried to print the project, it gave the same message from the start. Any suggestions on what I am doing wrong?

Hello…

You can easily print any Tinkercad model. Tinkercad is an amazing tool to start 3d modeling. If you needed a 3d object to print out from 3d printer, I definitely first tried designing it on Tinkercad.

Hi @ghslibrarylady ,


Does your JellyBOX actually say ‘heater runaway’ or does it say ‘thermal runway?’ What’s the exact error message?

  • At any rate, this points to issues with the heating and/ or temperature reporting.
  • PS: Do you have a heated bed?

Hi..

Tinkercad has become very unstable over the past few months. It used to be great. But now, even the browser you decide to use affects what works and what doesn't. I am having the worst luck with Chrome. Best luck with Microsoft Edge.
